President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa today met with senior officials of the International Monetary Fund.
The meeting took place at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.
The discussion was attended by Ann Marie Cloudwo, Deputy Director, Ssangyong Rihi, Director, International Monetary Fund’s Asia and Pacific Department, and Resident Representative, Monetary Fund, Sri Lanka.
Officials from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) arrived in Sri Lanka on Monday to discuss details of the latest review of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on economic issues and the ratings outlined at a recent meeting of the Executive Board of Directors.
However, the details of the discussion that took place this morning have not been released to the media yet.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet today approved technical assistance from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and discussed ways to move forward amid the economic crisis.
During yesterday’s meeting, it was decided to hold an official discussion with the International Monetary Fund and talks will be held accordingly next month.
