Samagi Jana Balawegaya leader Sajith Premadasa has warned that Sri Lanka will face severe food shortages in the future and that the government should liaise with the Food and Agriculture Organization.
He said this while addressing the Parliament today (04).
At this juncture, I warn you that Sri Lanka is going to face severe food shortages in the future.
The government should immediately contact the Food and Agriculture Organization, UNICEF, UNFP and the World Food Program to prepare themselves for this.
Sajid said arrangements should be made at least a year in advance before the country’s public starves.
