Opposition Prime Minister Korada Lakshman Kiriella said the speaker was trying to postpone the no-confidence motion.
He made the remarks during a parliamentary session today.

Lakshman Kiriella has said that if the no-confidence motion against the President is not approved, the Speaker’s House will also be besieged.
Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena said with a laugh, “I am very surprised that you felt my body tremble.”
