Arrangements have been made to hold a joint public awareness event. Puttalam Municipality, the Grand Mosque, the Jamiyyathul Ulama, the security forces and social organizations to launch a massive public awareness campaign on massive programs to curb drug use and trafficking, which is currently a major problem in the country.
To mark the occasion, a special awareness program will be held at the K A Fayis Memorial Conference Hall in Puttalam from 4 pm tomorrow (Sunday).
