Cabinet approval has been granted to cancel the circular that was issued earlier on not operating government offices on Fridays.
The circular has been cancelled with immediate effect after taking into consideration the normalizing of public transportation.
Cabinet spokesman Minister Bandula Gunawardena informed the Cabinet briefing today (August 02) that state workers are to resume work on Fridays.
He further said that the decision has been taken after successful turnouts had been reported in Sri Lanka’s newly implemented QR system for fuel.
