President Ranil Wickremasinghe congratulated the National women Netball team for winning the Asian Women Netball Championship 2022, saying the team set an example by winning the title despite the ongoing crisis in the country, a statement from his official said.
Sri Lanka has won the netball championship for the second consecutive year beating the host Singapore 63-53.
Further, He has said the netball team’s perseverance to attract the attention of all the of all netball fans including those of the international sphere set an example to all the sportsmen and sportswomen.
Sri Lanka is also a six-time Asian Netball Champion.
