Police launches probe as Peradeniya University student goes missing.
Peradeniya Police have initiated investigation into a complaint over the disappearance of a fourth year student of the University of Peradeniya.
Police said a 24-year-old student, a resident of Yakkala who is studying in the fourth year in Art Faculty of the University has been missing since a few days ago.
After contacting the hostel proprietors and receiving no answer from the student’s cell phone, a note written by him during an inspection of his room was also turned over to the police.
Also, his friends who were in university reported hearing nothing more about him since the 16th, when he moved to the Yakkala area.
Police said there have been no information about him until this morning (September 19) and the investigation is going on.(NewsNow)
