Slight enhancement of rainy conditions can be expected today(October 20) and tomorrow(October 21) in comparison to yesterday, the Department of Meteorology says.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Western and Northern provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Heavy showers of about 100 mm may be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-Western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Further, Strong winds of about 40-45 kmph can be expected at times over the western slopes of the Central hills and in Southern Province.
The general public is advised to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.(NewsNow)
