The Government of India has been implementing “Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Children [SPDC]” since 2006-07. Under this scheme, assistance is provided to the Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Non-Resident Indian (NRIs) for pursuing Undergraduate courses in Indian Universities/Institutes.
They are entitled to get financial assistance to pursue professional and non- Professional courses (except Medical & related courses). Only fresh year Students (1 year) are eligible to apply.
