Near Kandy’s Asgiriya railway station, a 16-year-old girl was reportedly hit by a train and died.
The incident happened on yesterday (November 20) when the girl hit a train going from Kandy to Matale.
According to investigators, the dead girl was going home after taking a tuition class.
The body of the deceased has been placed in the mortuary of Kandy Hospital, while Kandy police are conducting further investigations into the incident.(NewsNow)
