According to the National Water Service and Drainage Board, water supply to several areas in Colombo would be affected for nine hours on Saturday, January 21.
The water supply will be disrupted in the Colombo, Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia, Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte and Kaduwela Municipal Council areas, Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa and Kolonnawa Urban Council areas, Kotikawatta-Mulleriyawa Pradeshiya Sabha area, Ratmalana and Katubedda during this period.
According to the Water Board, the water disruption is due to maintenance work to be carried out by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) at the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant.
