Police today urged drivers using the Galle Face Road to use alternative routes as much as possible during the Independence Day rehearsals and on the Independence Day.
Police Spokesman SSP Nihal Talduwa requested the public to use alternative routes especially on the morning of February 1, 2 and 3 where the rehearsals were being held and also on the 4th of February, the day of the Independence Day Celebrations.
SSP Thalduwa said that motor traffic officers have been deployed in and around Colombo to enable easy commutes for people during Independence Day-related activities.
