Victoria Nuland, United States Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs arrived in Sri Lanka today, February 1.
She will be taking part in events organized to celebrate the 75th anniversary of US-SL diplomatic relations.
Coming to Twitter, U.S. Ambassador to Sri Lanka Julie Chung said that Nuland’s visit highlights U.S. support for Sri Lanka’s ongoing reforms to foster economic prosperity, protect human rights and promote reconciliation.
In India, Nuland led the US-India annual “Foreign Office Consultations” which cover the full range of bilateral, regional, and global issues. She will also meet with young tech leaders.
