The Galle District Secretariat held an awarding ceremony for entrepreneurs, government officials, non-governmental organizations and private businesses in Galle District on February 4, 2023 in Galle. Out of the 64 non-governmental organizations operating in Galle district, 7 organizations were selected for awarding. NPC also is among the 7.
The reason for this award is the workshop on pluralism that was held in two times for about 70 high government officials including the GA. This was conducted under the PACT project. About 600 people including Presidential Adviser Sunil Batagala, Southern Province Governor Willy Gamage, Ministers and all Divisional Secretaries participated in this.
Dr.Jehan Perera and I were invited to represent the National Peace Council. The award certificate is mentioned above.
