Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission Janaka Ratnayake says that three members of his commission have approved the 66 percent tariff increase presented by the Ceylon Electricity Board.
He said that the revised tariff system prepared by the commission after public consultation was submitted for the approval of the members yesterday and thus the tariff increase was limited to 36 percent.
