Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu thanked Armenia for offering support to Turkey after the devastating earthquakes, speaking at a press conference with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan in Ankara on Wednesday.
“Armenia immediately sent a search and rescue team of 28 people to our country. They have been working hard in Adiyaman since February 8,” said Cavusoglu, adding “Armenia has also sent 100 tons of humanitarian aid and Ararat Mirzoyan said in our meeting today that they will send additional aid. And they keep asking, “Do you have any additional requests?” And we thank you for that. Armenia extended a hand of friendship to our people in our difficult time, and demonstrated solidarity and cooperation.”
Meanwhile, Mirzoyan expressed Armenia’s desire and readiness to establish peace in the region in these difficult times.
