The United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced that the number of planes delivering the aid collected for earthquake victims in Türkiye and Syria had reached 118.
The UAE news agency WAM noted that 3,375 tons of food, medical supplies, and tents were delivered by 118 planes, 42 to Türkiye and 76 to Syria.
The aid is being sent as part of the “Yiğit Süvari 2” operation, which was launched to support those affected by the earthquake in Türkiye and Syria, upon the instruction of the UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on 7th February.
On the other hand, it was stated that approximately 111 million dollars of donations were collected with the contribution of 1 million 711 thousand people for the official “Sahem Platform” campaign opened in Saudi Arabia for earthquake victims in Türkiye and Syria, and the aid campaign continues.
