Shantha Bandara, a state minister for mass communication, has been named acting minister for mass communication.
As a result, Bandara was chosen to serve as the State Minister of Mass Media in an acting capacity because Bandula Gunawardena, the Cabinet Spokesman and Minister of Mass Media, is now traveling.
The Department of Government Information (DGI) confirmed that President Ranil Wickremesinghe made the appointment.
