The General Certificate of Education A-level examination papers will be evaluated right away, the Department of Examinations says.
Accordingly, Examination Commissioner General Amith Jayasundara confirmed that the marking of question papers will begin as soon as the current issues encountered by the university lecturers are resolved.
Only 13,337 teachers have registered so far, despite the fact that 19,000 teachers must mark the answer sheets.
There are enough people, according to the Commissioner General, to mark the documents in Tamil.
Mr. Jayasundara emphasized that there aren’t enough teachers available to assess the courses in which there were more applicants.
He responded that preparations are being made to conduct the GCE O-level exam as scheduled when asked if the GCE exam might be postponed.
