Local gold merchants report that the price of gold in Sri Lanka has risen once more as of today (31).
A 22 diamond pound is therefore shown to be worth 165,600 rupees, up from 163,800 rupees yesterday.
Additionally, the cost of a 24-carat pound is now displayed as 180,000 rupees, up from 178,000 yesterday.
Gold prices in Sri Lanka had considerably decreased earlier in March, reaching Rs 34,000 per 22 carat and Rs 145,000 per 24 carat.
