The new Sri Lanka Cricket technical committee has been announced in a special gazette notification by Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe. In accordance with the 25th sports legislation of the National Sports Act, the sports minister has appointed this new technical committee.
Its director has been announced as former cricket player Sanath Jayasuriya. For this new five-member technical council, Farveez Maharoof, Kapila Wijetunga, Charith Senanayake, and Asantha de Mel have also been proposed. Accordingly, this new technical committee will take force as of Monday, March 27, under Gazette Notification No. 2325/05.
