Two Iraqi nationals were caught attempting to enter Sri Lanka with forged documents at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake, and the Immigration and Emigration Department’s branch at the airport took steps to deport them.
The individuals, who claimed to be a father and son, had presented fake flight permits from the Dominican Republic and had planned to use them to flee to Europe.
The Immigration and Emigration Department’s branch at the airport initiated action to deport two Iraqi nationals who were discovered trying to enter Sri Lanka using fake documents at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake.
