The viral video about a passenger’s recently purchased cell phone being reported missing from his luggage has been debunked by Airport and Aviation Services Lanka Ltd.
The event, according to the AASL, was extensively publicized by a local television station, which said the passenger’s cellphone, which was in the luggage, had been taken when they arrived at the Katunayake airport.
The Katunayake airport’s CCTV footage, according to the AASL, has demonstrated that no such occurrence had taken place.
The AASL added that authorities at one of the airports the traveler visited as a transit stop had informed the Katunayake airport authorities that the aforementioned mobile phone had been seized for security reasons.
