FM urges foreign countries to review travel advisories to SL

The diplomatic corps based in Colombo has received a briefing from Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Sabry on recent events in Sri Lanka.

Foreign Secretary Aruni Wijewardane, Chief of Staff to the President Sagala Ratnayaka, and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Tharaka Balasuriya attended the meeting yesterday. (10).

In his opening remarks, the Minister thanked the international community for helping Sri Lanka revive its economy and provided an update on the situation.

The minister also asked nations to reassess their travel warnings to reflect the stability in the nation, which would further promote visitor inflow, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
