The Local Government Election that was supposed to take place on April 25 has been postponed once more by the National Election Commission.
The Commission announced in a statement that it has delayed the election for a number of reasons, including a shortage of funding.
The Commission added that the new Local Government Election date will be established either after collecting the required cash or after the Supreme Court rules on the case involving the election’s holding.
The Election Commission also stated that, in the event of either of the aforementioned circumstances, the District Returning Officers shall communicate with the Commission and then take the appropriate actions to hold the election.
