The Department of Excise has announced that all liquor stores would be closed on April 13 and 14 in observance of the Sinhala and Tamil New Years.
Speaking to Ada Derana on behalf of the department, Excise Commissioner Kapila Kumarasinghe said that a special operation will be in full swing to monitor supply chain regulation during the holiday season.
He urged the general population to phone the hotline 1913 to report any scam or anomalies.
