The European Union (EU) condemned the violence that broke out in Sudan and called on the parties to stop the conflicts and refrain from intervening with external actors.
EU Commission Spokesperson Nabila Massrali said at the daily press conference that the EU condemns the violence, loss of life, and violation of international law that broke out in Sudan on Saturday.
Stating that the temporary ceasefire mediated by the UN should be taken as a basis, Massrali said, “We invite all parties to show leadership and engage in the immediate cessation of the conflict. At this critical point, priority should be given to silencing the arms, not escalating the situation and resolving these differences through dialogue.” he said.
