The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has published an Extraordinary Gazette notification that, as of today (20), establishes maximum retail pricing for eggs by weight.
As a result, a kilogram of white eggs has a maximum retail price of Rs. 880, whereas a kilogram of brown eggs has an MRP of Rs. 920.
As a result, the Consumer Affairs Authority issues an order prohibiting any manufacturer, producer, supplier, distributor, or trader from selling, supplying, exposing or offering for sale, or displaying for sale the aforementioned items for a price higher than the specified Maximum Retail Price.
