Members of the United National Party (UNP) and Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) are in China as part of a delegation.
According to SLPP member Milinda Rajapaksa, the delegation is in China on the CPC’s (Communist Party of China) invitation.
He added that the delegation consists of 5 UNPers led by Senior Advisor to the President Ruwan Wijewardane and 10 SLPPers led by State Minister DV Chanaka.
Rajapaksa continued, “We are learning about reducing poverty, rural development, Public Private engagement, and the CPC.”
