All Sri Lankan citizens residing in the Republic of Sudan have been advised to contact the Saudi Arabian temporary diplomatic post in Port Sudan by Foreign Affairs Minister Ali Sabry.
In response to a request from the government of Sri Lanka, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia made the decision to assist the country’s residents who were stuck in Sudan due to the country’s ongoing civil war.
As a result, all Sri Lankans living in Sudan have been advised to go to the Al Rabwa Hotel in Port Sudan or to call to coordinate the evacuation procedure.
Aamer Al Shihry, a representative of the Saudi embassy, can be reached at 0024999910757, however phone communication is proving to be quite challenging in light of the current circumstances in Sudan.
