Today (27), at the Presidential Secretariat, President Ranil Wickremesinghe received three unique Combat All-Terrain Vehicles (CATVs) from the Sri Lankan Navy and Marine Corps.
The Sri Lanka Navy Marine Corps’ new strategy to combat terrorism, illicit operations, and different forms of smuggling along its coast includes the use of CATVs, which were manufactured locally by Ideal Motor Company.
In the future, the CATVs will be utilized to combat drug trafficking and other unlawful activities in the Colombo and Mannar regions. They were operationally demonstrated for the President at the presentation while they were being held by the Sri Lanka Navy.
