Yesterday, students at the Godigamuwa Muslim Vidyalaya in Bibile demonstrated against the lack of professors in the institution.
The Bibile Zonal Education office had been encircled by pupils and their parents who were demanding an answer to the problem.
The major route between Bibile and Monaragala was blocked by the demonstration about the long-standing issue for almost five hours.
Susil Wijethilake, the Bibile Zonal Educational Director, responded to a question about this by saying that a conversation with the children’ parents will be convened to address the issue.
