New agreement signed with Emirates to promote Sri Lanka

Emirates and Sri Lanka Tourism have struck a contract to market Sri Lanka as a top vacation destination.

Harin Fernando, the tourism minister of Sri Lanka, and Adnan Kazim, the chief commercial officer of Emirates, inked the agreement during a gathering in Dubai.

Emirates will advertise Sri Lanka through its extensive network as part of the partnership.

“We are thrilled to continue our relationship with Emirates to showcase Sri Lanka as an outstanding holiday destination, said tourism minister Harin Fernando. We are eager to collaborate with Emirates to expand the tourism sector and have a good effect on our economy because they have played a significant part in the sector’s rebirth.

Sri Lanka is a well-liked travel destination because of its stunning beaches, verdant rainforests, and extensive culture and history. After the Easter Sunday bombings in 2019, the nation has been healing, and the tourism sector is gradually getting back to normal. In the upcoming years, it is anticipated that Sri Lanka will draw in more tourists thanks to the cooperation with Emirates.

Sri Lanka took part in the travel and tourism conference known as “The Arabic Travel Market” (ATM), which was launched in Dubai yesterday, in addition to signing the deal with Emirates. The ATM is one of the most important travel and tourism conferences in the world, and over 20,000 visitors from over 150 countries are anticipated.

Sri Lanka Tourism participated in the ATM successfully and was able to pique the curiosity of many potential tourists. According to the tourism ministry, the authorities were able to conduct a special press conference with participation from journalists from numerous foreign media.

The relationship with Emirates and participation at the ATM would assist Sri Lanka draw more tourists in the upcoming years, according to the tourism ministry. The ministry is dedicated to marketing Sri Lanka as a top travel destination and is optimistic about the future of the nation as a leading tourist destination.
