SL Scouts attending the Coronation Ceremony of King Charles III meet President

Yesterday (07), President Ranil Wickremesinghe had a visit from four Rover Scouts from the Sri Lanka Scout Association who were representing Sri Lanka at the Coronation Camp hosted by The Scout Association of the United Kingdom.

Ranil Wickremesinghe, the president of Sri Lanka, recently traveled to the UK to witness King Charles III’s coronation.

The President and the four scouts had a friendly discussion about how young people might assume the responsibilities of the nation’s future leadership, according to the President’s Media Division (PMD).

The PMD stated that the President encouraged the Scouts to actively engage in national and global concerns, including the global climate crisis.

The four Scouts who represented Sri Lanka Scouts at the Coronation were Shalini Perera, Aritha Bandara, Asel Bandara and Sarith Fernando.

This meeting was organized according to the request of the Chief Commissioner of the Sri Lanka Scouts Association, Attorney-at-Law Janaprith Fernando.
