The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister have directed on Sunday the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KS relief) to provide USD 100 million worth of various humanitarian aid and to organize a national campaign through the “Saham” platform to alleviate the current conditions faced by the Sudanese people.
The Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of KS relief Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah affirmed that the assistance emanates from the keenness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince to stand by the Sudanese people and mitigate the impacts of the crisis in Sudan. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince for their noble stances which come as an extension of the humanitarian role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by standing with the affected and the needy all over the world with various crises and tribulations. He revealed that under the generous directives, relief, humanitarian, and medical aid will be provided to the displaced in the Republic of Sudan.
In continuation of the evacuation efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the directives of the Kingdom’s Leadership, several evacuees arrived from the Republic of Sudan to the city of Jeddah on Sunday 07th May 2023, which included 453 Yemeni and Sudanese nationals through HMS “Abha” and HMS “Riyadh”. As well as 3 aircrafts belonging to the Royal Saudi Air Force also arrived in Jeddah, with 31 Saudi citizens, and 690 nationals of the Sudan, Lebanon, Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kenya, Russia and the United States of America nationalities.
stressing the Kingdom’s keenness to provide the foreign evacuees with all the basic needs in preparation for facilitating their departure to their home countries, bringing the total number of those evacuated from Sudan since the beginning of the evacuation operations to approximately 8498 persons including 278 Saudi citizens and approximately 8220 individuals belonging to 110 nationalities.
