The Laureus Sport for Good Foundation annually presents the Laureus Sportsman of the Year Award to soccer sensation Lionel Messi.
He has won the prize twice, most recently this time.
At the same awards presentation, Argentina also took home the trophy for team of the year (all sports).
Based on their performance at the 2022 World Cup, they were given the honor.
