The National Water Supply & Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced that portions of Colombo and its suburbs would be without water for ten hours tonight, May 19.
From 10 p.m. today until 8 a.m. on Saturday (May 20), there will be a water cut.
The 10-hour water curtailment will have an impact on the following areas:
Areas served by the Kotte and Kaduwela Municipal Councils, the Maharagama and Boralesgamuwa Urban Councils, and the 04, 05, 07, and 08 Colombo Districts
According to a press release from the NWSDB, the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant needs urgent maintenance, which has caused the water delivery to be interrupted.
