In yesterday’s (18) match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore, Virat Kohli broke an IPL record.
He achieved 500 runs in six IPL seasons, becoming the first Indian batsman to do so.
The most notable aspect of Kohli’s accomplishment is that he broke the old record, which was held by current Delhi Capitals (DC) captain David Wa er.
Wa er was the only batsman to surpass the 500 run mark in six different IPL seasons prior to Kohli.
It is also noteworthy that Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Shikhar Dhawan, and other well-known Indian batters have not yet come close to breaking this record.
