In the 50-over World Cup Qualifiers taking place in Zimbabwe next month, Sri Lanka is most likely to be in Group B.
The group that includes Dasun Shanaka’s team includes Ireland, Scotland, Oman, and the UAE, according to reports.
Both Sri Lanka and the West Indies, who finished ninth and tenth in the ICC Super League, are seeded second and first, respectively, for the tournament.
According to ICC sources, Group B will have a base in Bulawayo and Group A would have a facility in Harare.
West Indies, host nation Zimbabwe, Netherlands, Nepal, and the United States make up the Group A teams.
The groupings and schedule for the event have not yet been formally confirmed by the ICC.
The two remaining qualification berths will be decided, and the competition will continue from June 18 to July 9.
The top two teams from the super six phase, which includes the top three teams from Groups A and B, will advance to the World Cup.
