Puttalam District MP Ali Sabri Raheem has been taken into custody by the Sri Lanka Customs for the possession of undeclared gold.
Puttalam District MP Ali Sabri Raheem was detained at Katunayake’s Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) together with a quantity of unreported gold.
The legislator was returning to the island from abroad when the customs officers working at the airport seized 3.5kg of unreported gold from his hands.
