Ranil Wickremesinghe has been invited to attend the World Climate Action Summit by United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The invitation to the main event, which will kick off the Emirates Climate Conference, was issued to Wickremesinghe in the form of a letter, along with the UAE President’s heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for Sri Lanka and its people’s progress and prosperity.
Khaled Nasser AlAmeri, the UAE ambassador to Sri Lanka, officially presented the letter to the head of state of that country yesterday (May 22).
On December 1 and 2, the Summit leaders’ gathering will coincide with the UAE’s 52nd National Day celebrations.
