According to reports, the Northern Railway Line’s train service between Colombo and Kankesanturai will resume on July 15.
Due to various railway track renovation activities, the Northern Line trains only run as far as Anuradhapura.
By the end of the next month, it is anticipated that the railway track between Anuradhapura and Vavuniya will have been renovated.
Accordingly, Asoka Munasinghe, the Director of the Maho-Omanthai railway project, announced that train operations from Colombo to Kankesanturai may resume by July.
