According to officials, newborns are being abandoned in war-torn Syria outside of mosques, hospitals, and even under olive trees.
This occurs as a result of more than 12 years of bloody fighting fueling a desperate and impoverished population.
However, more than 100 kids, including 62 girls, were discovered abandoned around the nation between early 2021 and late 2022.
It stated in a study from March that it believed the actual number to be far higher.
