The World Bank and the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka have teamed up to improve activities in higher education in the South Asia Region (SAR).
This collaboration was strengthened further during a joint 2-day event and seminar titled “Regional Cooperation for Higher Education Development: Options for the South Asia Region” that took place on June 6 and 7 in Colombo at the Taj Samudra Hotel.
This cooperative project aims to promote information exchange, investigate potential for collaboration, and highlight new developments in higher education.
Distinguished representatives from the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) nations, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, were brought together by the project.
