Gazette issued announcing closure of liquidation of two departments
Two governmental departments have been closed and liquidated, according to a Gazette Extraordinary.
On Tuesday, June 13, the Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilization, and National Policies released the statement.
Thus, the Internal Trade Department and the Department of Telecommunications have been officially closed and liquidated by the government.
The Consumer Protection Act (No. 01 of 1979), which was repealed by the Consumer Affairs Authority Act, No. 9 of 2003 with the creation of the Consumer Affairs Authority, had provisions that allowed for the establishment of the Internal Trade Department.
In the meantime, the Telecommunication Department was transformed into a corporation by an incorporation order published in the Extraordinary Gazette No. 596/11 of February 6, 1990, and made in accordance with Section 02 of the State Industrial Corporation Act, No. 49 of 1957.
