Due to Wimal Weerawansa’s failure to show up for court appearances, the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court has issued an arrest order for him.
According to reports, the MP did not show up in court for the lawsuit filed in connection with the protest held in front of the UN Office in 2016.
When the Cinnamon Gardens Police complaint against the MP and 6 other people was heard by the Colombo Chief Magistrate today, the arrest warrant was issued.
