The Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) has agreed to grant temporary drivers’ licenses issued after next Monday (June 26) an additional two years of validity.

It is anticipated that the Gazette Extraordinary formally announcing the extension of the validity period will appear soon.

The DMT made this choice in an effort to lessen the difficulties that drivers were experiencing when renewing their temporary driving licenses as a result of the recent shortage of driving license cards.
