Today, June 22, the strike by private bus companies operating on the Kottawa-Borella (174) and Kottawa-Mount Lavinia (225) lines has been called off.

Due to the bus operators’ strike that began on Monday, June 19, the private buses that operated on the two routes stopped providing passenger transportation services.

The decision to send out 10 luxury buses to cover the two aforementioned routes had prompted the start of the strike action.

The private bus companies claimed that the relevant private bus associations had not been notified before deploying the luxury buses in question.

However, they asserted that they had decided to temporarily halt the strike because they had not yet gotten a resolution to their problem.
