After the ICC’s Event Panel determined that Kyle Phillip, a fast bowler for the United States, utilizes an illegal bowling action, he has been suspended from bowling in international cricket with immediate effect.

Following his team’s ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier match versus West Indies on Sunday, June 18, 2023, the 26-year-old was reported by the match officials.

The Event Panel examined game film of Phillip’s bowling action and came to the conclusion that it was illegal. As a result, Phillip has been suspended from bowling in international cricket in accordance with Article 6.7 of the regulations.

As long as Phillip doesn’t consent to another review of his bowling technique that finds it to be legitimate, his suspension will remain in effect.
