The renewal license price for foreign employment agencies has increased, according to a gazette statement.
According to the Gazette, the license renewal price for the same premises will rise from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 100,000.
When an employee first enters into a contract with an employer, they are required to pay a charge of Rs. 18,000 (Subject to Applicable Taxes).
When an employee renews their contract with the same employer for the second or subsequent time, they are subject to a cost of Rs. 3,600 (Subject to Applicable Taxes).
Manusha Nanayakkara, the minister of labor and foreign employment, has issued the Gazette notification in accordance with Section 51 of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment Act, No. 21 of 1985.
